4th Annual Spirit Creek Day Saturday, October 2, 1 to 4pm.

At noon we begin with a Water Ceremony at the wellspring, a couple of blocks from CSLSR. Meet in front of the CSLSR entrance and we'll walk to the "secret" wellspring site together.
At 1pm we'll gather in the CSLSR north parking lot for invocation, song with Georgia Morgan and orientation. From 1:30 to 2:30 we'll get to work! Plenty of choices includiing creek clean-up, raking, mulching, weeding, and tending our new Food Garden. Or just take the Spirit Creek Walk with Stephanie Lennox, our eco- educator. She brings a great love and understanding of watersheds and the flora and fauna who reside within. Be sure to bring the children for this hands-on service and learning opportunity.
After the work is done our "Creek Theater" comes alive with music and movement in honor of our mostly-water Earth. Our Creek Theater MC is Sahar Pinkham, who will also lead our Drumming Circle. White Bear will sing us heart-centered, fun-loving songs and Rosalie Sulgit-Shay will perform a Hula and lead us all in a Hula dance prayer to Nature. Blessings abound!
To complete the day we'll enjoy FREE Pizza & cold drinks donated by local businesses We'll celebrate our stewardship, our watersheds and Spirit Creek!
What to bring: Gloves and water. PLUS! Bring your drums, instruments and stools. Bring silly props to lift our spirits and light our smiles at the Creek Theater! NOTE: Bags and trash pickers provided.
Spirit Creek Day is part of the City of Santa Rosa's Creek Week: Sept. 25 - Oct. 2.
